Warm Wishes and Celebrations at My Whimsical Little World digi release

This will be My Whimsical Little World's last digi release for 2014.  We will be returning Jan 12 with some special digis,  something different but a throwback to my original whimsical style.  I am excited and cannot wait to share with you.  Until then MWLW DT members have created some beautiful projects with this week's digi release.  "Christmas Star" is so adorable as she holds the star for the tree or perhaps to wish a very merry Christmas.  "Warm Wishes" is perfect for your friends and family who love hot chocolate.  Our last digi is this month's cupcake "Celebrate Cupcake".  The cupcake topper is left blank so that you can fill it in with any message you would like.
Make sure to click on the DT members names to view their work on their blog.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you like what you see.  You can find these and other MWLW digi stamps to fit your needs at Paola's Papers at Etsy.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Visions of Sugar Plums Danced Through My Whimsical Little World :)

If there is one thing I love about Christmas, other than all the pretty papers and ribbons, it's the wonderful smell of baking.  We are still not completely unpacked at our new home, and I have yet to create a new digi.  I miss my Silhouette. :)  But I my youngest has kept me busy with holiday baking, and we have a date to go make a couple of ginger bread house next week.  I am super excited...give me an excuse to be a kid again and I am there. :)  Well this week we have a Gingerbread House digi stamp for you that is decorated with jujube bushes and lollipop trees.  Our second digi is "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" in which our subject is catching her breath from all the beauty that nature gives us during winter.   I love the way the snow hangs on the trees..here and there...and the smell of pine.  Simply beautiful!
Make sure to click on the DT members name to see their work.
I love all the bright colors Martha used to created her card and loving the texture on the trees!

Look at the yummy liquid pearl on the trees! Love the paper piecing job! Gives the digi lots of depth.
Adorable gingerbread house Louise made and she also combined it with digi stamp "Tansy The Elf"

And The Winner Is!!!! :) Oh an Of Course Some New Cute Digis :)

Morning everyone!
I'm starting to get a little worried that we can still see green.  We have next to nothing of snow here.  I cannot wait for the ground to be covered. However, this also gives us a chance to decorate our home outside. LOL
We finally moved into our rental for the year and are nearly unpacked.  Our tree is up and slowly other decorations are going up as well in our home .  My  craft room is almost ready, so I can soon start creating once again.
I see that "Tansy The Elf" is back this week at My Whimsical Little World, dressed up in her elf attire to help deck the halls.  Cute bauble wreath Tansy! :)  And since we have no snow yet I am going to enjoy the magic of "Merry Christmas" ...I cannot wait to build a snowman with my kids.  I love all the beautiful decorations at Christmas time.  Since my kids were itty bitty ankle biters, we have always had a branch tree or a tiny desk tree that they were able to decorate on their own with tiny decorations.  They have always loved doing this.  Our third digi, "Christmas Branches", shows a little tree very similar to what we have in our home.

Can't catch me! I'm the Gingerbread Man!

It's December 1st!  Whoa! Can you believe Christmas is just a few weeks away!  I don't believe it! Would it be wrong to still color holiday images after Christmas? LOL  They are so cute...I can't wait to share them with you! :)

But before I tell you about the digis, I would like to introduce to two new My Whimsical Little World
design team Members.  Welcome to Amy Almeida and Julie Odil!   It just so happens that this week they have projects to show you,  and you get to visit their blog to see more of their work alongside their DT sisters  Martha and Louise.

Okay! Here we go!  We have three digis this week. Now...I have to tell you a secret.  I can't get enough of the adorable "Gingerbread Man".  He is super cute!  Now if I could just get my gingerbread cookies to look like my digi... LOL  The second digi is ever so lovely "Waiting for Christmas".  She comes with a background that is optional and full of tinsel and baubles to add to your projects.  DT member Julie did an awesome job with the baubles.  Our third digi is "Vintage Santa".  I could not resist but to draw another Santa.  He comes with decorations for the tree, which are optional and you will also receive Santa separated from the tree.
Paola (you are here)
I would love to share what I did to create my two cards.  But I can't.  Mum's the words on the details for now.  It will  have to wait until January.  I have a surprise to share with all of you sometime later this month. :)
Gingerbread man card added to the "Anything Goes" challenge at Imagination Station.

Love the simplicity in Martha's card. "Waiting for Christmas digi stamp really shines through!

How cute is Julie's design with "Waiting for Christmas" baubles on her card. Notice the bauble ontop of the "j"?  Great idea!

You cannot have too much sparkle at Christmas! Adorable card. :)

"Ginger Bread" man is making me hungry. LOL Love how Amy used the twine to draw the eyes straight to our gingerbread digi stamp.
Thank you for stopping by, I hope you like what you see. :)
Please pin and share on at the places you hang out.

Inspirational Thursday at Little Miss Muffet Stamps

It's inspiration Thursday at Little Miss Muffet Stamps. Yay!  I had such a wonderful time this month being an honored guest at LMMS.  Thank you so much for the opportunity. :)  This is my last post for November for LMMS as a guest designer, but you will see future posts using LMMS on my blog.

I was debating if I should do a Christmas card or something else.  We had snow and I was really feeling Christmas...but rain came and took it all away.  I thought the LMMS digi stamp "Sonny Honeycloud Rainy Day" was perfect to brighten up anyone's day.  All of my craft supplies are packed, but I was able to find some scrapbooking supplies in an open box.  It was meant to be!... as the paper and epherma that I found were all about sunshine, rain and being happy.  All the shapes and 3x4 card behind digi stamp "Sonny Honeycloud Rainy Day" is epherma and a PL card.  I colored her up with my Copics to match the  colors of the epherma I used on the card.  I hope you like my card. I hope it has inspired you to use scrapbooking supplies on your cards.

Stop by Little Miss Muffet Facebook group to see the LMMS design team has created.

Digi Release at My Whimsical Little World~ Fa La La La La

This week's My Whimsical Little World digi release is a few days late, but here we are midweek with a wonderful set of Christmas digis.  My family is in the process of moving, so we are buried in boxes and life is a bit chaotic. By mid December things will start to settle down and we will be back on schedule.

Here we go!  This week we have three cute digis to share with you.  Our first digi is a snowman duo called "Believe in the Magic."  If you look closely someone is playing peek-a-boo.   Our second digi, "Wishing," is a profile of a very lovely young lady.  Last but not least, my favorite, is our little house kitten "Fa La La La La."  He is adorable singing his Christmas carols.

To see more of what our DT members have created with "Believe in Magic", "Wishing " and "Fa La La La La"  click their names to visit their blogs.  Keep scrolling for some special activities we have going on right now at MWLW Facebook group.

CAS with Little Miss Mufftet Stamps

Today is CAS (clean & simple) day at the Little Miss Muffet Stamps Facebook group. :)

Tasked was creating a brilliant embellishment on the digi stamp "Cuthbert and Kiki's Sleigh Ride," I first cut the stamp using my Silhouette Cameo. Then, using Copic markers I sought to add just the right color to the image while preserving its clean and simple intent. I made the sky a light blue that bears subway graffiti. Secondly, I colored Cuthbert and Kiki so they look affectionately fluffy.
I hope the resulting creation has you yearning for Christmas.

Coffee Filter Flowers and Some Odd Girl Garden Gwen

Hi Oddies,
Paola here! :)
It is freezing and the snow is slowly making its way in our area.  I am missing all the pretty colors of the flowers.  I thought I would bring a bit of color in to the studio and make some paper flowers for my Garden Gwen tag.  I used a  die cut for the flower.  I also used Bamboo Twine from the Odd's & End's shop at Some Odd Girl.

 Items you will need
Garden Gwen clear stamp set
Coffee filters
Sprays
Heat gun
Versa Mark
Glue
Kraft sheet

To create the flowers I use a die cut, but for a more organic feel you can cut your own loop. You will get a different type of flower each time.   You will need coffee filters and sprays of your choice.

Lay your flower unrolled on the kraft sheet and spray.  The more you spray the darker the flower. I like the speckled look, so I keep a distance and spray a couple of times.

Next you have to wait for them to dry. Don’t use a heat gun because the paper is so thin the heat gun will burn the flowers.
Once dry roll them up and gently squish them onto the Versa mark.

Then apply clear emboss with long tweezers. Heat-set from a distance so as not to burn the flowers. Let them cool and then you can adhere them to your project.

Hope you liked my quick tutorial on making some coffee filter flowers.

Make sure to stop by the Some Odd Girl Facebook group to join this week's challenge and participate in the conversation.

Also don’t forget to link up for your chance to be spotlighted for the blog and win a digi from Some Odd Girl!

Have a creative day!

Santa Has Arrived at My Whimsical Little World

Good morning everyone! :)
It was a beautiful morning...This morning when I woke up there was snow on the driveway but not on the lawn.  Slowly but surely winter is making its way, and it's beginning to look a bit more like Christmas here in the Valley.   It is also beginning to look more and more like Christmas at My Whimsical Little World.
This week we have three digis to share with you.  Our first digi is a "Holly Jolly Christmas Cupcake". Our second digi is my favorite as I have a soft spot for Nutcrackers.   I love to place them all over my home in various sizes...I have yet to buy one that is close to a child's size or perhaps it is my husband shaking his head at me that prevents me from buying one.    The third digi is "Santa on Skates".  He is also making his appearance on skates.  Gives him an edge on speed. :)
